About

Who you would be dealing with

Ivan Krupa trading as Cereals Marketing. A site that sells careful checking ought to be able to say plainly what is behind it, so this page does that, and then says what it is not claiming.

The business

Five things worth knowing first

  1. One person, not a company

Ivan Krupa trades under the name Cereals Marketing. There is no company, no company number and no team behind the word "we": the reviews are carried out by the person whose name is at the top of this paragraph.

  2. One service

A pre-launch review of a website, sold in three sizes. Nothing else is offered on this site, and nothing else is hidden behind an enquiry form.

What the review opens, and where each check stops

  3. Fixed prices, published

£120, £230, £390 per project. Every figure is published before you ask for anything, and the one that applies to your site is repeated in the written confirmation you are sent.

The three packages and what each covers

  4. Written scope, every time

The pages to be reviewed are agreed in writing before the work starts. That list is what the price is set against and what the report is measured by.

    The scope term, in full

  5. Contact by email and by post

There is no telephone number on this site. Enquiries come by email or by letter, which also means there is a written record of what was agreed.

The reasoning

Why the service is arranged this way

Four decisions that shape everything else on this site. They are choices, and they are open to being argued with.

  1. Why fixes are not included

Reviewing and repairing are different jobs, and mixing them gives the reviewer a reason to find work for himself. Keeping them apart is what makes a finding worth reading: nobody profits from the length of the list.

  2. Why nothing is guaranteed to be found

A promise to find every fault would be a promise nobody could keep, and the moment it was made, everything else on this site would be worth less. What is offered instead is a careful, methodical read-through of an agreed set of pages, with its edges written down.

  3. Why the page list is fixed first

A site grows while it is being built. Without a list agreed in advance, a review has no end and no honest price, and the argument afterwards is about scope rather than about the site.

  4. Why priorities are a recommendation

What matters before a launch depends on what the site is for, and you know that better than a reviewer does. The findings are ranked to be useful, not to be obeyed.

What this page does not claim

A new business has no track record, and dressing one up would be the same fault this service is meant to catch.

  • Customer reviews, testimonials or quotations. There are none on this site.
  • Logos of businesses whose sites have been reviewed, or any suggestion of who they might be.
  • Case studies, or any account of work carried out for a named customer.
  • Certifications, accreditations, memberships or badges of any kind.
  • A number of sites reviewed, a number of faults found, or any other figure about past work.
  • A year of founding, or any claim about how long this has been going on.
